ABOUT US:
The Lotus Flower is a non-governmental organization which empowers vulnerable women and girls so that they are safe, have opportunities to learn, the tools to become financially independent and the freedom to lead change. We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan

Our centers implement much-needed livelihood training, language courses, computer training, mental health support, fitness and health training, and awareness sessions and advocacy on women's rights and gender-based violence.
We aim to provide the foundation for women to rebuild themselves, their families, and their futures. As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Our fundamental belief is that women and girls are powerful drivers of change, and we provide the support they need to reach their full potential and rebuild their futures.
ROLE OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this assignment is to identify a skilled and experienced trainer to deliver small business management training program.
SCOPE OF WORK:
The selected trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Developing and delivering a comprehensive small business management training program tailored to the needs of beneficiaries.
- Conducting two rounds of training (6 days in total) in Derabon and Khanke.
- Enhancing the skills and capacities of women and girls to develop and expand their own businesses.
- Conducting training sessions in a manner that engages participants and ensures effective learning outcomes and business management strategies.
- Providing training materials, resources, and assessments as needed.
- Assessing the progress of participants and adapt the training program as necessary.
- Conducting pre-post and post-test and sharing this with The Lotus Flower.
- Sharing the agenda and curriculum of the training.
- Reporting on the effectiveness of the training and making recommendations for improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s in a relevant field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline.
- Consider specifying any relevant certifications, such as:
1. Certified Business Coach (CBC)
2. Certified Management Consultant (CMC)
3. Project Management Professional (PMP)
- A minimum number of 3 years’ practical experience in business management, development or a related field.
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in developing customized training materials and curriculum tailored to the organization's needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Request references from previous clients or organizations for whom the trainer has conducted similar training programs.
