The Lotus Flower is a non-governmental organization which empowers vulnerable women and girls so that they are safe, have opportunities to learn, the tools to become financially independent and the freedom to lead change. We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan

Our centers implement much-needed livelihood training, language courses, computer training, mental health support, fitness and health training, and awareness sessions and advocacy on women's rights and gender-based violence.

As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Our fundamental belief is that women and girls are powerful drivers of change, and we provide the support they need to reach their full potential and rebuild their futures.
Job Overview:
The Community-Based Activity Supervisor supervises and coordinates the implementation of the Child Protection activity in Duhok Governorate and Zakho ID. The Supervisor will spend the working day with community volunteers and will have some outreach activities in the working location, while following up cases in need of psychosocial Support, family interventions and community based activities. It is expected that the supervisor takes the lead in the overall of community volunteer activities, including the psychosocial work, training and child-friendly activities / games. The Supervisor will supervise/ coach the volunteers and ensure that all activities are in line with TLF goals and policies. This means active participation and interaction in child-friendly activities together with the Children, as well as the volunteers and the rest of the staff. The Supervisor shall follow up plans, administer, monitor and evaluate the activities being implemented by the community volunteers in their locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leading the process of selecting and training number of community-based volunteers in different location in Duhok and Zakho IA.
· Provide necessary technical advice and consultation for community volunteers and government entities on child protection related topics.
· Prepare proper weekly and monthly plans for providing necessary capacity building trainings for the community-based volunteers.
· Coordinate closely with other acting stakeholders in the process of implementing different project activities including capacity building for CBV and child protection interventions.
· Focus on active participation in activities and training for community-based volunteers.
· Supervisor is required to register the correct attendance and absence for our volunteers. Supervisor will report absence/ delayed attendance to line manager.
· Present weekly/monthly and quarterly project status report to CP deputy project manager, which will include activity progress, and highlight any areas which need special management attention.
· Undertake site supervision to review status of project implementation and to advice or any corrective action that needs to be taken.
· Planning and organizing events, including site selection, logistical arrangements, purchasing supplies, promoting events, scheduling and being the primary point of contact for the training.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:
· Bachelor Degree in Psychology, social sciences or Humanities degree is appreciated
· Minimum of 2 years supervisory level working in experience related Child Protection Project Management with NGO or INGO.
· Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and Kurdish is essential. English is considered an asset.
· Computer knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel.
