Job Description: Child Protection—Structured PSS Facilitator (female preferable)

The Lotus Flower is a non-governmental organization which empowers vulnerable women and girls so that they are safe, have opportunities to learn, the tools to become financially independent and the freedom to lead change. We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan

Our centers implement much-needed livelihood training, language courses, computer training, mental health support, fitness and health training, and awareness sessions and advocacy on women's rights and gender-based violence.
We aim to provide the foundation for women to rebuild themselves, their families, and their futures. As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Our fundamental belief is that women and girls are powerful drivers of change, and we provide the support they need to reach their full potential and rebuild their futures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct age/gender-appropriate sessions for each age group of youths and parents/caregivers.
· Determine a safe and appropriate place to conduct structured PSS sessions, after coordinating internally and externally to determine a safe and appropriate place.
· Ensure a timely and adequate implementation of the structured PSS sessions.
· Ensure the safety of participant while coming to sessions and during the sessions and their departure.
· Build strong coordination with Case workers to integrate needed cases within PSS sessions.
· Establish trusting relationships with families/caregivers.
· Ensure obtaining consent form from participants for PSS sessions.
· Identifying and referring cases of vulnerable children (i.e. children with psychosocial problems, behavior changes, traumas and other problems), to the TLF case workers.
· Participating in training and team meetings as requested by the CP Management.
· Provides necessary supervision, technical support, and coaching to volunteers in urban areas for structured PSS activities.
· Provide training on the structured PSS when required.
· Support the Volunteers in designing activity planning and agenda.
· Focus on the needs of an individual child and their family, ensuring that concerns are addressed systematically in consideration of the best interests of the child and building the child and family’s resilience.
· Provide monthly activity narrative report as well as the database to the project coordinator.
· Follow up and upload the activity Docs to google drive.
· Monitor the monthly activity hard copies archiving.
· Participate in section and department meetings, work-related committees, and training.
· Participate in supervision/consultation.
· Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the CP Monitor, CP Officer, CP Coordinator and CP Project Manager.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
· Bachelor degree is favorable, diploma, working experience, social work background preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in PSS program.
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in CP with INGO/NGO.
· Prior professional experience in a similar post is an asset.
· Previous work experience with children is an asset.
· Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and Kurdish is essential, and good English skills.
· Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing professional environment with a view towards establishing administrative procedures and protocol that will ensure optimal functioning of the operation.
· Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
· Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion.
Computer Skills:
· Superb Excel Skills
· Superb Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint), and other software applicable to the area of work

Compliance
· Ensure compliance with TLF policies and protocols of confidentiality, non-discrimination, consent, respect and safety.
· Ensure that beneficiaries are duly informed on the Complaint Mechanism and can give their feedback on TLF structured PSS activities.
