We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan

As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Our fundamental belief is that women and girls are powerful drivers of change, and we provide the support they need to reach their full potential and rebuild their futures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Child Protection Monitor will work under the direct supervision of the Child Protection Officer to ensure the quality and effective implementation of Child Protection (CP) awareness raising in the community mobilization and outreach activities in Amedi, Zakho City and Batifa as well as the unstructured PSS program in Waar City and Zakho in the framework of the Child Protection Project.
In the framework of the project to provide child protection services for Syrian and non-Syrian refugee children and youths under the age of 18 residing in and out of camps in the Dohuk governorate, TLF/Child Protection department seeks to appoint Child Protection Monitor for developing and implementing information campaigns and supporting in the implementation of community mobilization and outreach activities as well as the unstructured PSS program for children and youths in non-camp locations through the unstructured PSS Facilitators.
Functions:
1. Enhance awareness amongst the communities by involving community volunteers via the implementation of community mobilization activities that promote child protection.
2. Responsible for monitoring, identifying, and referring child protection issues internally to TLF case workers or externally as per the agreed interagency protocols and procedures.
3. Engage community volunteers on how to spread messages and raise awareness about the available services and key information on child protection.
4. Prepare, organize, and conduct awareness raising on child protection issues.
5. Perform other tasks and functions depending on needs and what is asked by the child protection officer, project coordinator and project manager.
6. Provide monthly reports and data on the implementation progress of awareness and unstructured PSS activities to the Child Protection Officer.
7. Report timely any needs, requirements, challenges, or updates during the ongoing planned awareness raising to the Child Protection Officer.
8. Work closely and coordinate with TLF case management especially when referring the cases.
9. Participate in the protection meetings and in other relevant coordination mechanisms representing TLF highlighting the gaps for inclusion and access to services for persons with disabilities in the targeted locations.
10. Ensure excellent coordination with all existing partners, stakeholders, and actors to ensure the sustainability of community volunteers.
11. Manage and supervisor 2 unstructured PSS facilitators that running the program in out of camp locations.
12. Plan, organize and monitor the unstructured PSS program.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field.
• At least 3 years of prior professional experience in child protection.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent experience in PSS activities.
• Proven ability to develop and implement awareness raising plans.
• Ability to work for long hours.
• Good computer skills: MS Word and Excel.
• Fluency in Arabic, Kurdish (Kormanji) and very good English skills.
