About Us:
The Lotus Flower is a non-governmental organization which empowers vulnerable women and girls so that they are safe, have opportunities to learn, the tools to become financially independent and the freedom to lead change. We provide safe social spaces inside refugee camps and implement projects to help them rebuild their lives and earn a living. We run four women’s centers for the IDP, refugee and host community in Kurdistan.

Our centers implement much-needed livelihood training, language courses, computer training, mental health support, fitness and health training, and awareness sessions and advocacy on women's rights and gender-based violence.
We aim to provide the foundation for women to rebuild themselves, their families, and their futures. As local implementers, we work at the grassroots level to get right into the heart of communities, listening to local needs and employing local women to implement the programs. Our fundamental belief is that women and girls are powerful drivers of change, and we provide the support they need to reach their full potential and rebuild their futures.
About the Job:
The Lotus Flower is looking to appoint a qualified trainer to deliver business management and business development training and up-skilling programs such as entrepreneurship, financial management including profit, revenue, and payroll, understanding supply chains, conducting surveys and marketing strategies, mastering sales techniques, and proficient accounting practices, to women owned business and start opening business. The trainer should have the expertise and experience to improve our women’s' business management skills and contribute to business’s success.
Scope of Work:
The selected trainer will be responsible for the following tasks:
- The trainer need to create and deliver a complete training program for women on starting and managing a business. This program will cover essential topics like entrepreneurship, business development, budgeting, and financial management, including profit, revenue, and payroll. It will also include training on marketing and branding, understanding supply chains, conducting surveys, sales techniques, and accounting practices. Additionally, the program will teach participants about scalability and risk management to help ensure their businesses are sustainable.
- The training will be three rounds (3 training days) for each group – a total of 9 days.
- Enhancing the skills and capacities of women and girls to develop and expand their own businesses.
- Conduct training sessions in a manner that engages participants and ensures effective learning outcomes and business management strategies.
- Provide training materials, training curriculum, resources, and assessments as needed.
- Assess the progress of participants and adapt the training program as necessary.
- Pre-post and post-test to be conducted and share with The Lotus Flower.
- To share the agenda and curriculum of the training.
- Report on the effectiveness of the training and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree or master’s in a relevant field such as business administration, management, or a related discipline.
- Consider specifying any relevant certifications, such as, Certified Business Coach (CBC),Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Project Management Professional (PMP)
- A minimum number of 4 years of practical experience in business management, development or a related field.
- Proven ability to design and deliver effective training programs.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience in developing customized training materials and curriculum tailored to the organization's needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Arabic is mandatory).
- Ability to communicate complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Request references from previous clients or organizations for whom the trainer has conducted similar training programs.
