Migrate Art was born in 2016 from a desire to help those affected by the global migrant crisis. Since then they have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help individuals and communities who have been displaced by war.

Multicolour was a major fundraising project from Migrate that received widespread mainstream media attention. Some of the most significant names in contemporary art created brand new works using pencils and crayons salvaged from the Calais Jungle refugee camp, formerly home to a community of approximately 10,000 refugees, demolished in 2016.

From March 20th - 31st 2019, these works were exhibited at a dedicated exhibition at Cork Street Galleries in London's Mayfair before they were sold as part of Phillips’ ‘New Now’ sale on April 11th 2019. The sale raised a total of £122,000 for Migrate’s cause.

We, here at the Lotus Flower, are incredibly grateful to Simon Butler and the Migrate Art team for choosing us to be one of their 4 charities to donate to, and we cannot wait to welcome him out to Kurdistan to visit the projects he is helping to fund!
